Do you make foil or mylar space blankets?
No. HY produces textile blankets only, including flame-retardant polyester fleece and wool blends. We do not supply mylar or aluminized-film space blankets.
How is the flame-retardant performance achieved?
Two ways. We apply a flame-retardant finish to standard polyester fleece, or we knit or weave inherently flame-retardant yarn into the fabric. Treated fleece is lower cost, while FR yarn keeps its rating through repeated washing.
Can you provide test reports for the FR treatment?
Yes. Test reports and material declarations are available on request, and we confirm the required FR standard before sampling so finished goods match your specification. Flame-retardant options are quoted per order.
Does FR treatment make the blanket stiff or scratchy?
Not significantly. FR fleece keeps a soft hand, and we send samples so you can check feel and warmth before production. For colder climates, an FR-wool blend adds warmth at a higher weight.
